Next Generation Building Materials

High-value carbon nanofibers are generated as a by-product while catalytically converting methane (CH4) from landfill gases to hydrogen. Based on their unique 1D structures, the product nanofibers are employed in a variety of applications including high-power Li-ion batteries, concrete building blocks, conductive paints, catalysts, antimicrobial systems, etc.  For successful applications, the nanofibers are chemically/structurally modified and functionalized.
